What is AWG technology?

Air-to-water technology is the process of extracting moisture from the atmosphere and converting water vapor to water. The technology replicates this natural process of condensation by simulating the dew point, which allows it to make water continuously, even in low humidity conditions.

Is there enough water in the air to produce water every day?

Yes, there is.  There are 15 quadrillion litres of water in the atmosphere at any given time. And yes, nature continually replenishes this through the process of evaporation.

Will AWG’s affect our weather/humidity?

No. It has been calculated that we would require 1 machine on every square metre of the earth, just to make a measurable impact on the water in the atmosphere.

What's wrong with my tap water, why do I need an AWG?

Water produced by an AWG is of the highest quality on earth, and there are no chemicals, toxins or contaminants in the water. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for tap water today.

Is the water produced by AWG’s clean and safe?

Yes. This is pure water that is generated from air and has never been touched or contaminated by any contaminants. There are no chemicals in the water and no chance of Protozoa infections.

Once condensation occurs, the water passes through a range of carbon, UV and other filters that eliminates micro-organisms, including bacteria and viruses. Test results of water generated from the atmosphere have been measured and shown to be fresh and clean, for drinking water standards.

Does atmospheric water taste different and safer than regular water or bottled water?

Yes, is the simple answer. Bottled water, in many cases, is filtered municipal water reprocessed in a manufacturing plant. Some bottled water companies even claim “spring” water.

Does your machine filter out fluoride?

Any water created from the air, will have very limited quantities of fluoride in it and only in specific areas, such as very close proximity to cement manufacturing plant.

How does the cost and quality of bottled water compare with AWG?

What does pH mean for water?

The indicator for acidity or alkalinity is known as the pH value. A pH value of 7 means a substance is neutral; water with a pH lower than 7 is considered acidic and with a pH greater than 7, water is considered alkaline. The normal range for pH in surface water systems is 6.5 to 8.5. The range in a Cirrus AWG unit is 7.0 to 7.5.

What temperature and humidity do I have to have for the water machine to work?

The Cirrus Atmospheric Water Generator Unit will work with humidity as low as 40%. Most places in the world have at least that amount of humidity. Although production will be lower when humidity is reduced, the machines will still produce water.

Is it difficult to install an AWG?

Our units range from 100L up to 1,000L and require no plumbing, water lines or pipes. The units are all easily installed, essentially a plug-and-go installation.

What noise does the machine make, how loud is it?

The noise level will depend on the size of the unit. Typically, you can expect a 100L to create 55DB, quieter than a conversation. A 500L and 1,000L, around 75 DB, about the same sound loudness as your lawn mower.

How long does the machine last for?

With proper care and maintenance, anything between 15 to 20 years, if serviced correctly and regularly.

How does weather conditions affect the water production?

We require a minimum temperature of 18 Degrees Celsius and 44 percent humidity for the units to generate water according to specifications. However, our Atmospheric Water Generation machines will start producing water at 12 Degrees Celsius and 28 percent humidity. If the temperature gets too cold, all our machines have a built-in defrosting system.

How long does it take to install an AWG machine?

Depending on the location, it can take anything between 2 and 4 hours, if the work is done by our installation team.

How can we access the water that has been produced?

Atmospheric water can be accessed via a tap or from a separate storage dispenser.

What is the electrical consumption or your AWG machines?

For start-up it starts at 2.2 Kilo Watt for the 100L and goes up to 36 Kilo Watt for the 1,000L. once running it varies between 1.1 Kilo Watt and 14 Kilo Watt. For more detailed information on each machine please visit our products page here.

Is it a bigger version of a dehumidifier?

We get asked this a lot. The answer is no.

Will the water standing in a full reservoir get stagnant or go stale?

No. Our system continually recycles the water in the water reservoir. Every time it gets recycled we pass the water through a UV filtration system, ensuring the water stays 100% fresh and pure.

What is UV filtration?

UV filtration or ultra violet light filtration is a system of filtering water that involves passing water through a clear chamber, exposing it to UV light. Exposure to UV light destroys bacteria and viruses and removes some organic contaminants while leaving no smell or taste in the water.

How often do I need to change the filters and is it hard to do?

The filters are easy to change, either H2O, or Cirrus will do the changing of the filters.

The carbon block filter gets changed once every six months, and the UV filter gets changed once every 12 months.

What happens if the Water reservoir is full? Will the machine overflow?

Our state-of-the-art units are driven by a microcomputer control system that will stop generating water when full, and start producing water again as soon as sensors indicate it needs to be refilled.

Will water produced from the air give the water a funny taste or smell if it is in my home/office?

Absolutely not. All unpleasant smells and odours are removed by electrostatic filter as soon as the air is drawn into the system. The result is fresh and delicious drinking water in its purest form every time.

Who can use your solution?

The answer is anyone.
